Central Florida Teen Sentenced to Life in Prison for Florida Crime Spree

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – 18-year-old Konrad Schafer of central Florida was sentenced to life imprisonment for his involvement in a 15-day shooting spree that also included a fatal robbery.

The sentencing was passed Friday by a judge who ordered two consecutive life terms. In January, Schafer pleaded guilty to two adult counts of first degree murder.

According to the authorities, Schafer participated in the shooting spree in July 2013, when he was just 15-year-old. He was assisted by Juan Muriel, Victoria Rios, and David Damus. 17-year-old David Guerrero and 22-year-old Eric Roopnarine were reported dead in the spree and more than 20 houses and vehicles were damaged.

According to prosecutors, Damus killed Roopnarine. He was convicted of first degree murder and armed burglary in June.
