Shatterproof Door Stumps Would-Be Burglars

A shatterproof glass door foiled the plans of would-be burglars at a Dania Beach townhouse.

According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, surveillance video recorded the incident. One man is seen ringing the doorbell, but there was no answer. Another suspect was seen walking around the house with what looked like a handgun wrapped in a towel. He was then seen firing at least nine shots into a sliding glass door, which cracked but did not break. He then started kicking the door, and was soon joined by another man. They both failed to shatter the door.

The men stopped kicking, apparently exhausted. The surveillance video showed one of them resting in a hammock and the other sitting on the ground. They had a conversation for a few minutes, and then both left.
