Man Accused Of Robbing 5 Restaurants In An Hour

A man is accused of robbing five Palm Beach County fast-food restaurants at gunpoint in the span of an hour on Monday night.

According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, the robberies began around 7 p.m. The targets included a Domino's, two Burger Kings and and two Wendy's restaurants. A Wendy's employee was able to identify Adam Jalane because he pulled off the bandanna covering his face in order to shout at employees.

A Boynton Beach police officer was parked across the street from the last restaurant robbed that night and watched as two men came out. They matched the descriptions of the suspects for the other robberies. They left the scene in a black Chevy Avalanche.

When the officer tried to pull the Avalanche over, the driver kept going. This began a pursuit that ended with the truck crashing on Ocean Boulevard. Jalane was the driver of the Avalanche, and was arrested when he got out of the car. The second man seen leaving the Wendy's was not in the truck. The owner of the Avalanche, who was a friend of Jalane's. He said that he had been out with Jalane the night before and discovered in the morning that his truck was gone. He also kept a .40-caliber pistol in the truck.

Jalane faces multiple charges, including robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and fleeing or eluding police.
