One Broward deputy was hospitalized and another was injured after a woman who refused to move her car at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport turned violent.

According to a report from NBC 6, the woman began yelling and cursing at a security officer who had asked her to move her car from the curb at the airport. Deputies were unable to get her to move her car, and she become even more verbally combative. When police opened the car door, she screamed at them to not touch her car. When deputies tried to take her into custody, she resisted and a struggle ensued that knocked one officer to the ground and left another with a lacerated finger.

Once officers were able to take her into custody, they found marijuana in her purse. The woman was arrested on charges of battering of an officer, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer with violence and resisting an officer without violence.
