After beating and robbing a gas station employee, a Boca Raton man went to a restaurant next door for pizza.

According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, Roberto Rivera is accused of robbing a Valero gas station and punching an employee in the face, head and back. Rivera was able to grab around $200 cash and three cartons of cigarettes and exited through a door to Tomasso’s Pizza.

Rivera left Tomasso’s and then returned a few seconds later, pulled a wad of cash from his pocket and told employees that he would pay whatever they wanted for some pizza. Employees noticed that Rivera was acting strangely and was carrying cigarette cartons. When police arrived, his behavior became more erratic. He was arrested at the scene. The gas station employee was treated for cuts, bruises and a fractured nose.
