A disturbance at a Lakes at Westchester community home led to a fatal deputy-involved shooting on Monday night in Boynton Beach, according to an article in the Sun Sentiel.

Deputies were called in regarding a disturbance in a home on Camille Street. A woman that had just left the home told police that her husband and a friend were having a heated argument and that the friend had a handgun. The woman’s husband left the residence, seemingly unarmed. The friend with the gun walked out and deputies told him to drop it.

Instead of dropping the gun, the man pointed it at the deputies. He was then shot two or three times. He was taken to Delray Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. According to one sheriff, the man had a record of domestic violence involving a weapon from another state.
