A man was fatally shot by a man he was attempting to rob.

The incident happened when a North Lauderdale man met with a Craigslist seller regarding a phone. Following a disagreement over price, the seller pulled out a pistol and demanded the money. The other man reached into his car, pulled out a gun and shot the seller-turned-robber.

It is unclear whether the robbery victim will face any charges. The robber’s accomplice, however, is facing a felony murder charge. Florida’s felony murder law states that anyone who assists in a crime that leads to a death can be charged in that death.
