Two suspects broke into a Boca Raton home and were chased off with what is described as a “wooden ninja sword.”

According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, on July 23, a teen sleeping in a Boca Raton home heard a commotion and grabbed the sword. When the burglars saw what they thought was a weapon, they took off.

The suspects were still able to steal more than $10,000 worth of electronics, but fingerprints and DNA found at the scene allowed police to link this burglary to a Lauderdale Lakes teen already on probation for previous burglaries. The teen, however, claimed that his fingerprints and DNA were stolen and he denied ever being at the house.
