An L.A. Fitness gym patron is accused of pulling a gun on a trainer following an argument about putting weights back.
According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, Wilsly Dudley Lacroix pulled up to the front door of the gym in a 2003 Chevy Impala and motioned for the trainer to come over to him. Lacroix, whose occupation is listed as a security guard, pulled out a gun, cocked a round in the chamber and told the trainer that her was going to pistol whip him. The trainer then ran back inside the gym and Lacroix drove away. The trainer told police he had argued with Lacroix the day before about putting weights away.
Lacroix is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Assault is an intentional act that causes a person to fear imminent physical harm. Aggravated assault involves an assault committed with a weapon or with the intent to commit another serious crime. Aggravated assault is a felony charge and can carry steep penalties.
