A Boynton Beach Target employee is accused of stealing $3,255 from the store in a month-long theft spree.
According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, Carmelle Salomon said she stole the money because she is a single mother and her child’s father has not been paying child support.
After watching security footage, police officers found that Salomon had stolen the cash while counting the store’s money. She would separate a stack of cash and place it under a green envelope and then hide it between a book and some papers before leaving an office. Another time, she hid the money in her shoe.
Salomon now faces a grand theft and fraud charge and has been booked into Palm Beach County Jail.
