A Boca Raton mother is accused of driving drunk and hitting a tree while her two children were in the car.

According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, Yael Hogan did not remember hitting the tree. Someone had called police about a driver that seemed impaired and Hogan was confronted by deputies in a Fresh Market parking lot. She admitted to drinking wine but could not say how much. Hogan was unable to complete five different roadside sobriety exercises and was taken into custody after a relative arrived to take custody of her children. At the station, Hogan refused a breath test.

Hogan faces charges of DUI, refusal to submit to a DUI test and child neglect. Hogan had also been charged in 2003 for refusing to submit to a breath test in Pinellas County.
