A bar patron who was kicked out of Cagney’s Saloon in Davie tried to retaliate by returning with Molotov cocktails.
Christopher Colosimo was asked to leave the bar for undisclosed reasons. He then allegedly came back with two beer bottles filled with gasoline. He lit the Molotov cocktails and threw them at the bar’s owner, who was standing outside. The owner was not injured, neither were any of the other patrons. The sidewalk outside the bar was damaged.
When police arrived, Colosimo kicked and dented the police car. He also punched an officer in the chest and stomach before breaking free. Police were able to catch up to him and pepper-sprayed him before getting him in handcuffs.
Colosimo was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, first-degree arson, criminal mischief, possessing or manufacturing a firebomb, corruption by threat against a public servant, resisting or obstructing an officer without violence and attempting to escape.
