A 17-year-old Lake Worth girl is accused of setting up her ex-boyfriend to be robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint.
According to an article in the Sun Sentinel, Iraya Herrera contacted her ex and asked to hang out with him on Aug. 4. She then went to his Riviera Beach home with a group of friends who ransacked the place and forced her ex into a car. He was taken to a bank where he was forced to withdraw $600 and then dropped off on the side of I-95.
Herrera’s new boyfriend, Artavious Malone, was part of the group. He was accused last year of shooting at his estranged father. He and two others have been arrested in the armed robbery and kidnapping of Herrera’s ex.
Herrera was arrested Wednesday and is facing two counts of armed robbery and kidnapping and one count of larceny and burglary. She is in Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
